I’ve been using Epidemic Sound for a little while now and it’s mostly fine. The music selection is solid, but the website can be a bit sluggish. I’d say pages sometimes take 5 to 10 seconds to load, and I’ve had maybe 3 or 4 random freezes while browsing for tracks. It’s not a dealbreaker, just frustrating when I’m trying to find something quickly.

I gave it another look, but it is still too expensive for what you get. I would be more interested if the price came down a bit.

The site looks nice at first, but using it was kind of frustrating. The search filters felt a bit all over the place, and I kept losing my spot whenever I clicked into tracks. Downloads and saved lists weren’t that clear either. I’m sure it works fine for some people, but for me, I just wanted to find music quickly and it ended up taking way too many clicks.

In my experience, there’s definitely some music on here that I like, but the search and filtering tools can be frustrating. I’ll choose a mood or genre, and it still gives me a bunch of tracks that don’t really match what I’m looking for. Sometimes the filters seem to reset or feel way too broad, so finding even one usable song can take a lot longer than I’d expect. For what it costs, I personally thought the search would be more reliable.

They cleared my claim without any fuss at all. I kept expecting some tiny thing to come up, like a missing date or one box not ticked properly, but everything just went through smoothly. it was a relief not having to chase anyone or resend the same little details over and over.

I really like the tracks, and the site itself is easy to get around. The only thing that tripped me up was the licensing side of things. I had to do a bit of digging to understand what happens if I cancel and which videos are still covered afterward. It’s not a huge problem, but it could definitely be explained in a simpler way, maybe with a few everyday examples. Overall, I still feel good using it, but I’d feel a lot more confident if that part was clearer.

Still overall it has been really helpful and I end up using it often.

I mostly use Epidemic Sound for the playlists, they makes finding music way easier for me. I’m usually rushing through edits, so having moods and styles already sorted out helps a ton.
Some of the playlists is really perfect for vlogs or simple background music, and I’ve found tracks I probably wouldn’t have searched for on my own. I’ve been really happy with it so far...

I had a little issue with my account and expected it to turn into a whole thing, but support got back to me way faster than I thought they would. I was actually in the middle of making coffee when the reply came through, and I remember thinking, oh, that was quick. They fixed it without sending me in circles or making me explain it five different ways. Super easy overall, and I’m happy with how smoothly it went...

The music itself is fine, but getting it into my editing workflow has been more annoying than I expected. Shouldn’t adding a track be the easy part? It just feels a bit clunky and ends up slowing me down when I’m trying to keep things moving

I also appreciated that the cancel option was available without having to dig around forever. The only thing I’d improve is making the different plan details a bit easier to compare side by side. Overall though, it felt clear, fair, and trustworthy.

The stems are definitely useful, at least in my experience. I do think the different versions can be a bit messy to browse through, though, and it could maybe be clearer overall.

I originally went with Epidemic Sound because I was tired of feeling like music licensing was always this confusing thing I was somehow supposed to figure out on my own. It’s easy to use, which was a relief, but I also liked that they seem to treat the artists more fairly than a lot of other places.
The upfront payments plus royalties setup sounds a lot more decent to me than some stock music sites I’ve tried, where it feels like the creators just get squeezed and everyone acts like that’s normal. I’m not one of the artists, so obviously I can’t speak for what their experience is, but from the outside it seems less unfair.

It makes me feel a little better using their tracks in my videos, because I don’t want to be part of yet another system where the people making the actual work get forgotten. Overall, I’ve had a good experience with it, and I appreciate that it doesn’t make me feel quite as guilty for needing music for my content

I needed to cancel my plan and I was expecting it to be a whole thing, but it was quick and painless. No hassle, no weird back-and-forth, nothing confusing. I got the confirmation right away too, which was nice because then I wasn’t sitting there wondering if it actually went through. Overall, yeah, really smooth experience
